Composition Mahatma Gandhi Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born  on 2nd October ,1869 at Porbandar  Gujarat. He is commonly called Mahatma  Gandhi or Gandhiji . The title 'Mahatma' was given to him by the great poet  Rabindranath Tagore . He dedicated his  life for the nation .
